Comments: A large-scale evacuation exercise of the1st battalion parachutists from Diest takes place in the coastal city of Ostend this week.The scenario of operation ‘Storm Tide’,which started this morning tuesday august 26,2008, with a landing on the local beach,has been grafted on a non-combattant evacuation operation (NEO), where the paracommando’s will rescue compatriots after a crisis broke out abroad.
